I always point out that, like most AA literature, it was written many decades ago primarily by men with a narrow view of the world, but despite all their assumptions and frequent patronizing, I can identify with many of the experiences and feelings they discuss I’ve been asked to share on a subject vital to each of us— A.A. literature and translations of books and pamphlets that contain the fundamentals of how A.A. works to lead people like you and me to sobriety and the importance of copyrights and proper licensing A.A.’s beloved co-founder, Bill W., who often called the influence of A.A. literature “incalculable,” wrote the following in Alcoholics Anonymous Conference Approved Literature. This store is operated by the AA 12 Step Office in Prahran, Victoria. We are a recognised Central Service Office. All our literature is sourced from the General Service Office of Alcoholics Anonymous in Australia. Not Literature Based– While AA does include literature such as pamphlets, the 12 Steps, and the Big Book, the group is primarily based on actions, speaking, and sharing. While you may be asked to read the Big Book as a member, a large portion of the group is based on meeting and sharing with others.
